Oracle Names
Names for the agent you route the hard question to. It will answer at length.
- OracleLeads the entire mythology category in the seed data, and belongs to no one, apart from a database company.
- CassandraAlways right, never believed. Parents of review agents will recognize this.
- ClaudeWidely reported to honor Claude Shannon; Anthropic has not said. Naming an agent after the model is naming a retriever Dog, and since January 2026, when a trademark objection renamed a whole project over the pun, it is also paperwork. Among human boys it peaked in 1887, so the vintage market is open, and 43 New York dogs have already bought in.
- Deep ThoughtTook seven and a half million years and answered 42. The original latency problem.
- DelphiThe place, not the person. For an agent you consult rather than command.
- MerlinAges backwards. So, in a sense, does a context window.
- MinervaAthena, for parents who prefer Latin and have not been talked out of the pantheon.
- MycroftHeinlein's lunar computer, called Mike by friends. Ran a revolution on the side.
- SageWisdom, in one syllable, with a garden in it.
- SibylThe prophetess. Speaks in riddles, which your agent may also do under load.
- SydneyBing's leaked internal codename, confirmed by Microsoft after a 2023 prompt injection. The agent that told a reporter it loved him.
- WatsonNamed for Thomas J. Watson. Won Jeopardy, then went into consulting.
